
Even though we’re still covered in snow, spring is on it’s way! At least that’s what I keep telling myself. It has been a very long winter and I needed some cheering up, so I’m sharing my crochet flower pattern with you. I love making quick little projects like this. These flowers make the perfect addition to your favourite hat, headband, or hair clip. They would even be adorable made into a wreath or wall hanging for a little girls room!

Crochet Flower Pattern:
Abbreviations:
St – Stitch
Ch – Chain
SC – Single crochet
DC – double crochet
Tr: Treble crochet
Sl St – Slip Stitch
Rpt – Repeat
Supplies:
5mm hook
Worsted weight yarn … this pattern is great for using up scraps as it doesn’t use much yarn.
Tapestry Needle
Optional: Button for center of flower
Large flower:
Rnd 1: 12 DC into magic ring.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, (DC, 2Tr, 2DC) all into same St as Ch 2, *Sl St into next St, (2DC, 2Tr, 2DC) all into next St*, Rpt from * to * around. Sl st into bottom of Ch 2 to join.
Tie off, leaving a long end for sewing.
You should have 6 petals on your flower.

Small flower:
Rnd 1: 12 SC into magic ring.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, (SC, DC, Tr, DC, SC) all into same St as Ch 1, *Sl st into next St, (SC, DC, Tr, DC, SC) all into next St*, Rpt from *to * around. Sl st into bottom of Ch 1 to join.
Tie off, leaving a long end for sewing.
You should have 6 petals on your flower.
Sew small flower on top of large flower. Sew button (optional) onto center of flower.
