The Vintage Lines Cowl is a beautiful, timeless piece to add to your wardrobe. This crochet cowl has such a beautiful texture to it that is sure to get compliments wherever you go.
I know that most of you are getting into spring mode, but up here in Northern Alberta, we’re still getting snow. The Vintage Lines Cowl Crochet Pattern is the perfect quick project to get you through the cold winter months. The pattern is worked in rows, and then seamed up the back to close it.
The rows of puff stitches give it a soft and delicate touch. This pattern is perfect for advanced beginners who are wanting to learn new stitches. It combines the puff stitch, half double crochet and single crochet stitches to create a beautiful texture.

The Yarn
I designed the Vintage Lines Cowl using Mary Maxim Woodlands yarn in the colorway Stardust. This soft and luscious yarn has the luxury and the natural warmth of Alpaca with the wash-ability of premium acrylic. It is so soft and easy to work with. I will definitely be using this yarn again!

Notes
- Ch 1 at the beginning of each row does not count as a stitch.
- This cowl is worked in rows to make a long rectangle and then stitched together using the whip stitch (or your favourite method for sewing).
- Puff Stitch: YO, insert hook into next ST, YO, pull up a loop; *YO again, insert hook into same ST, YO, pull up a loop*, repeat from * to * one more time, YO, pull through all 7 loops on hook.
- For this particular pattern, Do Not Ch 1 to close the puff stitch.
- Click here for a Video Tutorial of the Puff Stitch: **Note** For this pattern Do Not close the puff stitch with a Ch 1. Just continue onto the SC in the next stitch.
- The right side of the work is the side with the puff STS showing.
- The top of the cowl is the edge ending with a puff ST. This is just personal preference, but I like the waved edge that it creates to be at the top.
